Understanding Brand Fitting Differences

Each brand designs bras with a different "fit model" – a specific body type they use as a reference. This affects how their bras fit real bodies:

• Victoria's Secret: Uses +4 method, resulting in looser bands and smaller cups. If you prefer a snug fit, size down in the band.
• Wacoal: Similar to VS but designed for fuller figures. Their bands run true to +4 method.
• ThirdLove: Modern snug fit with half-cup options. Size up one cup for the best fit.
• Marks & Spencer: UK standard sizing. True to UK size chart.
• Skims: Compressive fabrics mean you may need to size up in the cup. Band runs true to size.

Why Your Size Might Change Between Brands

It's normal to wear different sizes in different brands. A 34C in one brand might be a 32D in another. This is because:

• Each brand has its own fit model and measurements.
• Fabric and construction affect how a bra fits.
• Style differences (push-up, minimizer, full coverage, etc.) change the fit.
